Hello! I'm new to selling vintage on etsy and I'm curious to what you guys think about my prices. I've done research and compared prices to people on etsy, ebay, etc. I think I've priced everything pretty well. I'm just curious to what you guys think. ^_~
Hi! Welcome. I think you have some neat things. I will say that your milk glass items are really hard to see. Do you have something darker you can use for a background?
I think the prices seem to be on the lower side. Are you incorporating the cost of your time to photograph and list each item? Plus a sufficient markup to make PROFIT not just break even? I charge myself $10/hr for photo editing/listing items and $15/hr for production of my pieces. You shouldn't compare to others, if a customer wants a good deal they will hunt till they find it. If they fall in love with your item (make drool-worthy photos for this) they will pay what you decided is fair. That is your customer, not the bargain shopper.
Welcome! You have a very nice shop! I love the color and everything looks great. I don't know why but I am thinking you could get away with charging just a bit more. Best sales to you!
I agree, the prices are low. Are you searching for vintage bargain hunters, people who are willing to pay any price for that item they really want, or somewhere in between the two? Ask yourself that question and perhaps reevaluate accordingly.
Ditto on shipping, especially international. Have you look at the shipping cost calculator at USPS.com? I think you'll find they're significantly higher. Good luck to you and welcome!
