What do you think about my shop? Any advice?

Hello everyone.

I am looking for some advice about my shop. I have not made a sale yet. Any advice about the pricing of my items, tags, titles and pictures would be appreciated!

Hi Shannon, Your crochet items are adorable but I agree with above, you definitely need to add some more items ( especially as I am going to buy one right now). I am new to this also so I think we just need to hang on in there and give it time
Good Luck, Cheryl

Hi Amaarah.

I just took a quick look at your shop you have some lovely items but the photos are a little dark. Try taking the photos in natural daylight ( I see you have some of those and they show your products much better :)

Wishing you many happy sales, cheers, T. :)

I've made only a few sales as well, lots of traffic, it's just not turning into purchases though. https://www.etsy.com/listing/208448334/looking-for-a-gift-that-will-delight?ref=shop_home_active_14

Re: What do you think about my shop? Any advice?

Lynn, your SEO is terrible. Any traffic you're getting is accidental or from games you may be playing on on teams. And those people aren't your primary audience.

Here's my cut-and-paste response to the problem.

There is no substitute for good SEO. I post this over and over, and people seem to just ignore it and ask the same question about getting more views and sales immediately after I post it.

Again: There. Is. No. Substitute. For. Good. SEO.

And again, here is how you learn how to do it:

Go to the Relevancy & SEO team and learn as much as you can about picking the best keywords.
https://www.etsy.com/teams/11352/relevancy-and-seo-for-all-etsy-shops

Then I also suggest that you read about my method, which goes a little further than they do on the Relevancy team.
https://cleverruthie.wordpress.com/2014/09/08/a-sweet-secret-to-seo-and-etsy-happiness/

Good SEO means you're driving buyers into your store who are ACTIVELY looking for EXACTLY what you're selling. That means sales, not just views. Yesterday my views were about a third of normal -- but I still had a sale. It's not just quantity of views, it's QUALITY. And that means learning SEO.

If you don't take the time and effort to understand and execute proper SEO, you'll never succeed. Period.

You know what, thank you Mary Van. You're blunt, but you followed it by giving something I can actually do. One team leader eviscerated everything about my shop and gave me nothing to help. Criticism, but not very constructive. So I will definitely do the research you provided and try to do better. I've never done anything like this before and have a lot to learn.
Thanks.

Lynn, I was blunt because people on this forum have answered the same question over and over. And over.

For instance, the need for good SEO was already posted on this thread when you posted. I must have been feeling cranky because of it, and I apologize. I wish you many, many sales going forward.
