If you don't have one, make a facebook fan page. Also, the more I post in discussions, the more I get views. Basically, the more you network, the more traffic you'll get, which leads to favorites, which leads to sales. Good luck :)

Hi, another way to promote your shop is with the showcases. Especially before a particular occasion such as mothers day or halloween. You have to be quick to get a spot in some categories, they go really fast. Hope this helps. Chrs, :)

Well, no offense! but when I first open my craft shop on Etsy, I also booked the show case, however, it didn't go well. I felt like I'm wasting my money. So I started to work on photos, search words, item description...etc., instead of booking any more showcase nor buying search ads.

I started a facebook fanpage, and have blog. I use the fanpage for my creative projects and shop info and the blog is more personal and concentrates on creative living. I like that they both have different functions which broadens my public.

I think the Etsy Showcase is no longer running.

I have found the search ads quite successful personally.

I try and remember to wear my creations (folded silk hair accessories). When I actually remember to do it, I tend to get so many compliments and questions about them that I end up giving out my business card!

Also when I sell I sell at fairs I always wear kimonos (which I collect, and which are relevant to what I do because it's inspired by a traditional Japanese craft) which are often a big talking point!

I'm also a big fan of Twitter!

Well it used to be Showcase but its now a "Promote your items with Search Ads", under the promote on your listings. Otherwise just utilize all your tags. Good luck !

I spent some time working on my photos, tags, etc. Even though I have a blog, facebook page, twitter, pinterest. Most of my views come directly from Etsy searches. I agree it's all about networking.

When I send out orders, I always include at least 3 business cards. Referrals do work.

Re-list an item at least once a week, its amazing how fast you can drop to page 5 and on. Re-listing puts you on the first page of your category and that's a good place to be, for only 20¢- now that's cheap advertising!

Does relisting really put you in the top front page? I guess it depends if you change your search options. But Etsy changed the default search to relevency instead of recency. So I do not relist. I just work work work on my tags and titles untill they are showing up on the first page of my catagorie. Its easier with baby things though, rather then jewlery or a larger group.
