Nikon Coolpix S590 -- has wonderful features for shooting close up and taking advantage of lower light conditions. Some people have found it difficult to navigate the Nikon menus, but I switched to digital from a Nikon film camera, so I've not had any issues.

I have no clue what the one I use is.

I tried using my quite new digital camera to begin with but it couldn't cope with different light settings but my mother-in-laws camera which is a good 8 years old is a gem. It takes great pics and picks up the light and colours nicely. It is one of those professional photographer style ones though

but, I do not think that it is necessary to use a DSLR to photograph items for Etsy. One can take amazing photos of their products with a point and shoot camera with the right knowledge.

I use Nikon D5000 and it's a great improvement to our old one Sony DSC-H7 especially in wintertime with only 5 hours of sunlight and snow for 4 months in a row. I can take good pictures with minimal noise even in dim conditions. It's still rather new to me so I still have a lot to learn though. The old Sony did take great pictures in sunlight, no question about that :)

Mine is a really old camera, like probably over 5 years old. It is an old HP point and shoot with a total of 6 megapixels. I still think my pictures look okay, though.
