What are your goals for August?

We have only got a few more days until we start the new month of August.

I was just sitting here with my coffee & planning my goals for the month & thought it might be a good idea if we all shared what our goals to eachother? That way it will help us to be more committed& accountable towards our success & also this is the perfect place to lend advice & support to achieve them.

We can always add to them as the month goes on, mark them off as we go along & share when we have actually achieved that goal. How does that sound?

They don't just have to be Etsy related, they can be personal goals too.

My August goals are:

- Sell at least 4 items (have only had 3 sales so far)
- Have 1400 visits to my Etsy store
- Complete 8 new designs
- List 8 new items (Boy, Birthday, Halloween, Xmas)
- Study 2 new Copic techniques
- Create a new back-drop for taking better photos
- Blog, FB, Pin, Forums & Twitter each day
- Update at least 4 listings (Desc, titles, tags, photos, etc)
- Add 1 new treasury each week
- Add 5 supply items to Crafty Base inventory each day
- Go for half hr walks along the beach (Mon / Tues / Wed)
- Have fun cooking with Zoe (my Daughter) on Wednesday nights

I will have reached my 1 year on the 15th of August so I would really like to have made 50 sales by then ( I am currently at 44 sales)

Reach my 150th sale.
Help promote other local crafters on my website.
Have 75 different products listed.
Prepare for holidays.
Celebrate my 2nd month anniversary by taking a day off! LOL

For August I have a bunch of items to renew, and I have a lot more to edit in my shop's listings. Started my SEO editing this weekend, and got 8 listings done... August will be a good month to finish that up :)

Another August goal is to crank out more holiday cat toys (lots in mind!)

Thanks Kelly and good luck with your goals! We were closed for half of July and we still met our July goals, so I am really optimistic for August! I am really looking forward to our mini vacation, it's a great way for me to relax and mentally prepare for the upcoming Holiday season!

What a great thread. You all help me get motivated and focused on what not only have I accomplished, but where I want to go. My goals for August is:

Get at least 50 more items listed
Work on and finish at least 2 Christmas Lap Quilts
Work on other Christmas items to post
I grow and sell herbs and plants in my other business away from Etsy, so I want to get some fall seeds planted for Winter Harvest and to take to the Farmers Market
Get more familar with Photoscape for more detailed, pristine pics
I've had pretty good sales for July, but would like to get more
Start blogging again
Keep working on at least 1 treasury a day
Get more involved in team discussions, you guys uplift my spirits and keep me motivated
After all of that, try to get in some sleep!

These are great goals - I hope everyone accomplishes what they want!

Here's a small list of mine:

For my store: I'd love to reach 100 sales, add more Christmas, New Years, Halloween before mid-August, get more active on pinterest and crack open my facebook likes/followers more, continue to update my blog and gain a bigger following through promotions/etsy shop features.

For home, I'd like just to relax and read a little more. I'll be heading back to school late August, so I'll have more Etsy work to do at School and less time at home to take care of business.

Move into my own space. I have taken over our patio but now that stepson has moved out I am moving into that room. It will be combination of office space and area to work in.

Not related to Etsy business but stay sane during some construction going on at the house in August.

1) Get a decent camera

Too many goals!

July was my best month ever on Etsy (5 orders for a total of 7 sold items/ more than 1800 views) so I wish August will be even better! :)

I'd like to:
-list a new item every 2-3 days
-make 10 sales
-open the 2nd shop I'm currently working on (and hopefully make a sale, it would be awesome!!!)

I posted the other day that my August goal was to get to 100 listings (I needed 35 more to reach 100). Well I hit that today! Yay! I worked my butt off today LOL So I guess I should aim for 150 listings in August! =)

Awesome idea!! :) I'm shooting for the following:

- sell at least 10 items this month
- earn 2,000 visits to my shops (1,500 already for July, so starting over and going til 2,000)
- have 50 people favoriting me (currently at 17, this'll be interesting!)
- list 20 new items
- figure out white photography backgrounds!!
- blog, fb, pin, tweet, wanelo 1x a day
- update 5 listings a week (tweak titles and tags)
- add 1 new treasury a week
and try and add more hours to the day job!

begin Autumn/Halloween products
get 30 items listed (I have sales everytime I get to 30)
continue to show a profit - 2012 has shown a profit 5 out of 7 months
look ahead to holiday season

my goals...
1. make more ornaments to list, and make a section just for them,
2. sell more than July, should happen with my new listing system & better tags,
3. don't spend everything I make here on things here....has to go to bills!!
