What am I doing wrong?

Hi all,

I don't seem to be getting many sales lately :(

Can I ask if people can looks at my shop and give me some tips as why this is happening (or not happening).

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance for any tips.

Regards
Leanne

Re: What am I doing wrong?

Hey Leanne,
Very cute products!
I found that brightening up the images or at least the first image is helpful.
Your photos are good, all they need is a bit of brightening. You can maybe try increasing the brightness/exposure settings using any image editing software such as photoshop. It will make the product pop by making the background whiter. Hopefully that will get you more clicks! :)
Good LucK!

Hi Leanne,

Adorable shop! I also echo the above to brighten your photos. Sometimes the picture will look plain so a bit of "staging" should bring out the cuteness! I think it would be nicer if you could find a little model to showcase your beautiful bibs and blankets. :)

Good luck!

Re: What am I doing wrong?

Hi Leanne,

I agree with Takehomestories and Fishcouple. Your items are adorable and I like your photos very much, but they are very dark. A lighter background would make your items pop up.

I played by lightly photoshoping (word?) the picture of one of your blankets and I am sending you a convo to show the difference.

Also, I would suggest you include the contents of the fabric in your description. Otherwise, buyers guided by the name of your shop, may think they are buying a cotton blanket. I understand the Minky fabric is 100% polyester.

And, have you considered selling your items in the U.S. The couple of items I checked are not sold in the U.S.

Best of luck to you.

Re: What am I doing wrong?

Thank you Maria and Fishcouple. I have only just started playing with an app to brighten my photos so I will go back and play with the older photos too. Great idea about the fabric description too. I can't sell to the US as I don't have insurance to sell there.

Re: What am I doing wrong?

I do not sell outside the US (I have not gathered enough courage), so I am curious. What kind of insurance do you need to sell in the US?

Re: What am I doing wrong?

Hi, Leanne, adorable work!

I looked at this listing:

https://www.etsy.com/listing/245621930/pink-cushion-teenager-gift-musician-gift?ref=shop_home_active...

IMO you should put "pillow cover" near the beginning of your title.

Good luck!

Re: What am I doing wrong?

Thank you Bev, I will change that right now. Maria, I think its just extra money involved as they are at a higher risk of court action.

Thank you everyone for your kind words. I will look at all your suggestions and put them all into practice. I really appreciate you taking the time to look at my shop.

I hope you all have lots of interest and sales in the future.

Re: What am I doing wrong?

I see you don't ship to the USA.. you should really ship internationally. I get sales from all around the world. Just charge the appropriate amount for shipping to each country.
