What Apps Do You Use?

Hey Team!

We'd love to understand how you're using third party tools to help manage your shop and/or improve your Etsy experience. Do you use apps (such as these: https://www.etsy.com/apps/) in your shop? If so, which are the top two that you use and how often do you use them? All the time? Once per month? Something in between?

Thanks for sharing your tips and tricks with us and your fellow sellers. You're the experts, and we love hearing what you have to say.

I use BETSI at least once a month to bulk edit. This is such a time saver! What used to take all day, I can do in minutes. I edit tags, titles, descriptions, even images.

I also love FotoFuze to brighten up my pictures. It makes a plain white background super bright white and makes your photos pop! You just have to be sure to keep the shadows in your images to avoid the product looking like it is "floating".

Another app I really like is Outright. I linked my Etsy shop, PayPal account, and bank account so it is easy for me to keep track of income and expenses. It does everything automatically for you, but you can add, delete, and edit.

The only app I have used is the free version of Betsi. I only use it a few times a year when I need to do bulk editing that I can't do on Etsy. Most recently I have used it for adding information to descriptions.

I've used etsy on sale a few times I really like how easy it was to set up and manage my sale. I must check out this Betsi though!

Wow, I had no idea there were so many apps! Thanks for sharing that list. I don't use any of these at the moment, but I think I may have to change that. Sounds like Betsi might be a good one to start with?

I use IFTTT - great time saver to automatically post new product from my shop to my Tumblr page.

I have also used Etsy on Sale - a great time saver to automatically put items on sale.

Looks like I should check out Betsi - sounds like a great time saver!

I really just use the standard Etsy app for my iPhone when I'm not near my computer. I like to use the "beautiful mess" app for promotion photos on Instagram, but that's kind of off topic :-)

Wow, great info everyone! I am using zero apps for this stuff, and could probably benefit. You all have had great things to say, and it seems to cut down on time which for me, right now, would be a life saver!!

My #1 app that I use is Craftcult.com I have it open as the first tab on my Etsy shop browser and have been using it since I started here in 2008. Its fantastic for getting 'stats at a glance' to see which items are getting views and how many views over a specific period of time.

The other App that I've used since it was introduced is EtsyonSale.com . I like it for its ease of changing prices and titles when I'm running a sale, especially since my shop has grown in size significantly. I initially purchased a handful of credits but have since earned enough referral credits so that I don't pay for the use of the app any more.

I've BETSI lite on occasion and the support offered by Graeme is second to none. Even though he's half way around the world I always get a response within 12 hours.

I use the Etsy App a lot, and Snapseed for photo editing. It's really easy to use!

Hey everyone! Question, are these apps ones you use strictly from your phone??

A lot of my etsy use is via my iPhone. I can see my stats on my etsy... So why does crafcult, and these other apps have that etsy is lacking??

I spend a lot of time on etsy between uploading items and their descriptions, then tags.

A lot of the time, I copy other items and make the necessary edits.
Does anyone else do that too?

Hey Brianah!

I use these apps on my desktop. BETSI is a time saver allowing you to bulk edit things that you do not have the capability to do on Etsy. For example, let's say yo hear the new Pantone color is "Radiant Orchid" and you have a ton of items in that hue. You can search your tags on BETSI for "purple", then replace that with "radiant orchid". It will change all of the tags for you without you having to go into each listing one by one. You can also add, remove, and replace text in your descriptions. Many people do this if they have an extended processing time. They will add a note to all descriptions in one easy swoop, and then also remove later on if need be.

Other ones mentioned are time savers for making treasuries and checking stats.

Another great site, not technically an app, is etsyology.net. A great tool for research! You can see what is selling currently on Etsy. Considering a new product but not sure if there is a market for it? Check this site to see the monthly sales for that product. Check out the top shops in your category. It is very inspiring. I love stats :)

Right now, I'm just a regular ole etsy girl, using only easy to create treasuries and check stats, upload items tomy shop, etc

great app if you have twiiter facebook or any social media stuff, it pushes your new listings, re-newing listing automatically to the place you picked.

I started using Storewoot. It does bring more views from Pinterest.
