there are a lot of UPS, DHL, USPS faux alert mails going around and it's a cruel way to get people to click on them. most people have sent packages at some point and many hope to receive one, so this is an easy way to spread malicious email.
if you've never given your email address to a postal service, it's easier to ignore these kinds of emails.
there's a nastier bug going around that uses an innocent person's email address to send that person's friends false messages and links to dubious sites. this is harder to ignore, since the email comes from a real contact, but if you think it's weird that your friend is sending you a link to check out a store, don't click on the link, and send your friend a separate email (don't click 'reply') and ask if they actually sent it.
