Does anyone know....is there a way to change the categories on Wanelo (like it has "For my new mansion", "Don't waste your money", "Gear"...and a few others). It seems to me that you cannot edit these ... OR can you??

You can. Go into a collection and there should be a box that says "Edit," which allows you to change the name of the category.

Vanessa...are you SURE? I just tried it again ... and I do not see an "Edit" box.

When you click on a collection under the main photo for that collection it reads, change image, edit, delete. Click edit and you can rename it.

Oh My God ... I must be DENSE! Does this also work if I'm posting my OWN item? I still don't see it. :-/

Yes, I am guessing it is the "gear" collection you want to rename. Click one the word gear and it will open the collection and the purse earrings will be the big picture-under them is the change image, edit, and delete buttons. Click edit and rename it.

Bill, what is my STARTING point? Do I just go to wanelo.com? Do I click on "my profile'?? And THEN what do I do? I trust you 100%, but I truly am NOT seeing the edit button. Oh my goodness ... I'm not REALLY such a dense person (I just play one on TV)!!

Judy, start at wanelo.com. Log in. Then go to My Profile. Click on the collection name that you want to change. Once it goes to that collection's page, under the big product photo that comes up on the left you can click, "Edit." Then change the name under "Collection Title."

Lol, I think Bill gave up on me!! (Can't say I blame you, Bill) So Jaime ... I did exactly what you said ... but when I try to click on "Gear" (which is the one I'm trying to change) ... it's not a link. It doesn't 'allow' me to click on it. It's just NOT a link? I can click on "Save collection" but that's not what you're recommending, right? OY!

Yeah, I mean WHY would anyone even bother clicking on that list? It's just so MEAN. My mother always taught me "If you don't have anything nice to say....don't say anything at all!!" (Lol.)

I am happy to see this thread, Judy! I know your frustration with wanelo! I love the site, but it is not the most user-friendly when it comes to changing things. It took me forever to figure it out (and I THINK I'm rather technologically sound), so I'm glad I'm not the only one...... and be sure that you are NOT the only one who had that problem! :)

JESSICA: I am SOOOO glad you said this!!! I was really starting to wonder about myself. I have taught myself everything re: this computer and the internet and FB and Etsy (and on and on) but this was challenging! I was 'almost' ready to give up. Thank you for making me feel like not such a big dope! Yeah, I'm in my 50's and wasn't 'brought up' on this stuff ... but I AM determined to figure it out!! THANK YOU!!!!

After recapping my posts I realize my spelling and grammar are not up to par today. Perhaps I should make a: "Don't waste your time posting" category?

Mollee and all...I have come to realize there are some very cranky people on the net. C'est la Vie as long as it's not me (being cranky that is)

I enjoy interacting with people from all over. It's the best part of the web. Why spoil all this fun with a bad attitude?!

All & all...I think this is a pretty confusing (NON user-friendly) site. I'm having trouble figuring out how to change the names of the categories FOR GOOD. I think I'm giving up for the day. When my headache finally goes away...I might try to conquer it again.

Was a leader on the Wanelo team, but left the team due to moral reasons. But I learned quite a bit while I was there, mainly self taught as you mentioned it isn't too user friendly. Their blog has helped A LOT: http://wanelo.tumblr.com/

Don't give up on it, it is my highest traffic source outside of Etsy itself-got a brew book trending on pg 4 on there right now for a few more hours here.
