I wouldn't buy it. When I had my bath & body shop I did the showcase A LOT. and it never generated a single sale... my views went up (not dramatically) but i felt like it may have been other sellers in the soap category who were checking out the competition (because I know I was).

Checking your titles, tags, SEO, using your best pictures possible, back-linking, tweeting, FBing, getting involved with blogs and the odd give-away - THOSE things work.

In my opinion, the paid showcases on etsy never worked.

It's not! In a previous incarnation here, I sold jewelry, tried the showcases and got nothing from it. A lot of people who have used it called it the "newbie trap". You're better off making sure your items are higher in the relevancy searches by working on tags, titles and SEO :)

This thread holds true for the general consensus. I have yet to see someone who claimed that a Showcase feature has proved beneficial. I'm sure there are success stories. However, I personally have not read any.
