We are trying this month with a last ditch effort through a Flash sale to generate some business this month.
I am part of a favathon through another group. Its been good for promoting those items that may not get viewed. Has anyone had luck with this sort of advertising?
We have added a bunch of new items this month, renewed listings, and been promoting in groups. Where have all the sales gone? I dont think that people have stopped buying and sept tends to be a month for home improvement. We sell furniture and home decor items.
Does anyone else feel that the front page change is sending potential customers to shop at other sites?

Re: Views way down

My views have plummeted dragging my sales down to nothing compared to October of last year. I have no idea what happened and am getting very frustrated and am looking at other avenues for selling my items at this point. October through Christmas is when I make almost all of my sales and etsy just isn't doing it for me this year for some unknown reason...

Re: Views way down

They are the same as I have always used and I'm down about $1000 just this month over October of last year.

Re: Views way down

Wendy, there's way more competition every day on Etsy. You might have gotten away with poor SEO before, but that can and does change.

SEO is the foundation of all marketing. If you're not working at it, you'll gradually lose views as the competition heats up. I can't even imagine trying to compete in knitting without it.

Re: Views way down

As more people figure out SEO for Etsy's relevancy search, they move ahead of you in the results. I dread the day when my competition finally gets it; I'm working as hard as I can to expand and diversify revenue streams before then.

Re: Views way down

I was using Google's adword tool to find relevant keywords for etsy and my category so I still don't understand what's going on...

Re: Views way down

Your tags are all single words, mostly. You should probably read a basic introduction to Etsy's Relevancy search; it will tell you how it works. The pinned (light blue) threads on this team: https://www.etsy.com/teams/10713/etsy-relevancy-seo-and-stats are good.

Re: Views way down

I was using google for my title words and the tags were more for treasuries and I had no problems until very recently but I just played around with the titles/tags so I'll see if it makes any difference or not. Thanks for the input! : )
