Um... gulp... what did I do wrong here??

Yesterday evening I curated a treasury of some of my favorite Etsy listings, just having fun with it. Today however, I received a message from one shop owner who I had included in it.
The message read...

"remove my item from your treasury. don't come back to my shop."

And I've already removed the item as they requested.

I'm just very confused by their response... most Etsians are happy to have their items featured. I've made tons of treasuries and never had this response.

Am I missing something??

@ Annie, I never sent out a convo message to tell the I had included them in my treasury. I do that sometimes, but other times I don't have time to take that extra step.

@Joanne, like I said to Anne, I never sent out private messages to any of the Etsy artists featured in my treasury.I didn't have time that night.

And yes the shop has had 303 sales and has 100% positive review :s

So puzzled. Oh well, I guess I'll see what they have to say back to me, and I'll let all you know.

I was just taking a bath (I do some of my best thinking in baths) and trying to think of situations where I wouldn't want my item to be in a treasury. I came up with a few - 1) the treasury is titled "Crap You Shouldn't Buy," 2) the treasury is titled "Jews are the Devil" or something else racist, bigoted, hateful, or otherwise awful, or 3) the treasury is titled "These Shops All Support [Insert political candidate/movement/ideal that I don't at all support]." Your treasury doesn't fall into any of those categories. Maybe they didn't like the hipster tag? Of course, I wouldn't want to be labeled a hipster, but if it helped get my items viewed I'd gladly put up with it.

Your treasury is beautiful. It is a mystery to me why someone wouldn't want to be included. Lucky person who got to replace them!

If you need someone to fill out the empty spaces...I'll volunteer my shop. And I promise to be nothing but grateful. ;^) Pretty treasury...and I favorited a couple of things in there. Nice job curating!

A thought occurs (and I'm only on page three of the thread...) I've been told that the last line of any treasury is considered "lesser than" because if it make the FP the last line doesn't get included. So perhaps that bothered the shop owner?

From looking at your lovely treasury - I find it a mystery. Maybe she sent the convo to you in error, meaning for it to go elsewhere?

I just read your post...you may be on to something. In one of the forum threads I remember reading an OP wrote about creating a treasury where one of the featured shops demanded that she place her within the first row not the fourth! I couldn't believe this. How ungrateful!

I am truly grateful any time I am included in someone's treasury. I enjoy making treasuries but it seems I never get around to sending out a convo.

I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't have wanted to be included in your treasury...

Geez! If I were having a bad day, I certainly wouldn't take aim at people nice enough to include me in their treasury! Some people are just really ungrateful. I'm sorry this happened to you...I hope you can get some closure on the reason behind her nasty response to your act of kindness. If not...be the bigger person and move on :)

Maybe someone just got bad news and the title made the pain worse...
Hard to understand why someone would ask you not to come back to their shop.
I'm glad you are keeping the name a secret...something is very wrong for this person right now.
