Um did USPS just increase again?

Is it just me or did the prices just go up AGAIN? I ship a jar of honey in a 6x6x6 box and it's cost me under $6 for a long time. All of a sudden I'm getting 8.90 in direct checkout. The box weighs 1lb 9 oz? Anybody else getting this?
It's only been a couple weeks since I shipped this type of order.

I had that happen the other night when a size that usually went 1-day priority for $5.32 went turned into 3-day for $10.65

There was some kind of change regarding Express Mail being re-named Priority Mail Express. Were you looking at the prices for Priority Mail Express or for Priority Mail?

The one that seemed to change for me was the regular priority. Could it of been because it was shipped on a Friday?

No there hasn't been a postal increase since January.

Are you sending the package to the same zip code each time? If not, that can change the shipping rate.

If I send a package that size across the country it will be $11.25 for shipping whereas if I send it across town the cost will be $5.80

Thank you for your responses. Yes I guess I have just been lucky all this time and shipped only to east cost customers. I have a followup question and I'll start a different thread.

If it's not "flat rate", the rate can vary depending on the zone that you are shipping to. I frequently use regional rate postage and it gets more expensive the farther from home I ship.
