I am ON VACATION, adding new items, tweeting like a madwoman, facebooking, promoting like a fool, and I have still only had a grand total of 14 views ALL DAY. All. Flipping. Day. While on vacation. And if I wasn't on vacation, I'd be banging my head against a wall. What the hell?
On the upside, at least I get to enjoy an empty beach.

Don't worry about it, you're on vacation! It isn't all about views. I find that the majority of views to my shop are fellow sellers, who are sellers, not necessarily buyers...

There are times when I get more sales when I leave my shop well alone.

I agree with Katie Joy . It is probably just coincidence but most of my sales seem to come on low view days. Try to enjoy your vacation

I know I know, it's not about the number of views, but, still. You need at least one to get a sale ;)
I wish I could just not worry about it, but if I ignored my shop for a week plus, I'd be dead in the water right before the busiest season.

everyday my views are more than 50 ,sometimes 100 around, today and yesterday more than 200 totally, but no sales for one week, very upset, very bad business

I feel like Facebook is not a good source for promoting. How many promotional posts do you actually look at? Also, keep in mind a large percentage of your fans probably don't even see what you post. Huge, rich companies are pulling their ads from Facebook. Personally, my views and sales don't seem to be related. I hope you enjoy your vacation!

Like the others said... it's not about the views :) I don't get many views but I must I must be doing something right because I've been getting a good amount of sales lately. I chalk it up to good SEO and good pictures (to get new customers) because I don't really promote. Packaging, coupon codes and word of mouth help bring back customers and their friends! Sales will pick up. I would suggest finding other things to fine-tune before spending a ton of time promoting on social networking sites.

EDIT: But my "good sales" means 2-3 a week. Lately, it's been 3-4/week and I'm reaching my limit with custom stuff at that rate!

Weirdly the last couple of weeks when I have low views I have a way higher percentage of favourites, so I'm trying not to worry about views too much.. It's hard though! -control freak talkinngg- hahaa

Heather, I just checked out your shop and it's quite beautiful! Just one tiny thing I noticed quickly- while your shop section names are very sweet, creative and unique, they won't help you with SEO. If you use terms that people actually search like "earrings" or "bracelets", it helps search engines find your items better. The shop sections are scooped up in searches so you may want to consider changing them... HOWEVER, the ones you have now are *very* nice and something different. You probably already know all that but I just wanted to share a quick tip :)

Your shop is absolutely lovely, so don't get discouraged! The main problem is probably that jewelry is such a saturated category on Etsy that, unless you have something utterly unique, you may need a lot more items to get consistently high views.

Besides adding more items, my main suggestion would be to include a link to one of your other pages in EVERY listing. It could link to your shop's home, to a shop section, an in-shop search result, or to a listing for a coordinating item. I do it on all of mine, you you can take a peek at one of my listings if you're not sure what I mean.

This is ESSENTIAL. The vast majority of my views come from other pages in my shop... not from search. The longer you can keep a potential customer in your shop, the more likely they are to buy something.

Just copy the address of the page you want to link to and paste it into your description. Links within Etsy are automatically made active, so it's super easy!

Nicole is right - really nice shop, great pics. We've been slow too despite Twittering like maniacs. Maybe this is a slow Sept/ early Oct? Hopefully - this is our 1st fall and we're ready for the holiday rush!

I know, I know. I'm just gonna sit back and enjoy these last few days on the beach. Promote if I feel like it (and everybody's asleep!), and really just not worry about it too much. It just sucks, having been doing this for almost three years and watching in the last 12 months as my views dropped from triple digits to just barely out of double digits every day, without changing anything I was doing. It feels like going backwards.
BUT.
Sales haven't been too shabby this year. Craft fairs=awesome. So with that in mind, I'm re-stocking my beach bag with a few cold beers, finding where I left my book, and making my way through the fog to the beach. Thanks for giving me a place to vent.

I have 3 views, that has been my average for a week, sad, a little tired and somewhat frustrated but all I can do is get out of the funk I'm in, and make more items for my shop.

I find that if you just enjoy your vacation and forget about your shop for a while you'll be amazed at what can happen.. I always get the most sales when I am away and not constantly checking my stats
