Tweaking Shop Profiles

I tried to check and see if this was already a thread so I wouldn't clog up the discussion board, so if I missed it somewhere, whoops!

Anybody want to share/brag/need help with their shop profile? Post it here!

My biggest fix with this page that I know of is going to be convincing myself to take a photo. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, but if your keen eyes spot anything amiss, do let me know!

Thanks!

Hi Beth,

Your shop is pretty and whimsical. I will have to work on mine :)

Great shop, Beth! I would make sure the first photo of each piece includes the entire piece and really focuses on the piece itself (not the props and background.)

Not at all, you have beautiful pieces in your shop! I especially like the photos, you have a great way of taking ones with personality and interest instead of just all white background ones - best of all, you do it without letting the photo get over-cluttered, something I struggle with. The gradient effect is a really nice backdrop!

Re: Tweaking Shop Profiles

Thanks Bev!

Yeah, that's a huge problem for me - I really wanted the photos to have environment and an artsy, whimsical feel to them, and some of them you really don't see the jewelry well in. Huge problem for sure! *grin* I will have to bite the bullet and take some neutral backdrop photos later this week when I've got my photographer around. Hopefully we can do something that isn't too flat and bland, but being able to see the jewelry IS kind of important!

Thanks!

Also, you work with argentium. SO JEALOUS! XDD I saw some absolutely amazing pieces in Lapidary Journal with that material; that's a beautiful medium. Learning to metalwork is VERY high on my list of "things I must learn next". :)
