Turning view into sales. Any tips??

I have gone from 30+ sales in December to 1 in January. I am driving myself crazy everyday by looking at my shop way to much. I have noticed that my views have gone up a lot since December, but no sales. Are my prices ok? Should I do something different with my photos or descriptions.
Any tips would be much appreciated :)

I can sympathize. While things were rockin in December, everything usually comes to a screeching halt in January. Your shop looks great. Good prices, great pictures and descriptions.

I would say that maybe adding some more inventory may help. Nice work!

Tracy I see your store and looks gorgeous to me. Pricing it seems fair. I am kind of new here but I am interested to know how views can become sales... that would be the key...

Re: Turning view into sales. Any tips??

I am really sorry wish I could help ,but I was questioning the same thing! I created a Valentine collection with lot's of view's but no sales! then a friend of mine placed an order! it is more a personal sale then an Etsy sale but still! I think you should focus local if you arent already ,Danielle mentioned in a online lab that sometimes you don't realize but you arent including enough information in your description.Still hoping to get my first Etsy sale good luck to you!

Re: Turning view into sales. Any tips??

Im newer to Etsy, and Ive also noticed an increase in views, but decrease in sales since the new year. Weird!
I looked at your shop. I think your photos are really nice, clear and perfect brightness. Your prices are fair too! Only thing that I may suggest...switch up your titles. You have several items with the same title...maybe word each listing a little differently so your items will pop up in different searches: you have "glass photo pendant or glass photo necklace -Romantic cream rose - round antique bronze - photo jewelry - VALENTINE'S DAY" for a few listings
maybe try "photo necklace, glass pendant...."
Wish I could offer more help. Good luck! <3

I think your shop looks great. Prices seem reasonable, too. I have been having alot of views and no sales. I hope that changes for us both

Re: Turning view into sales. Any tips??

Your shop is lovely! You just need to keep researching, tweaking, creating, promoting and do not lose momentum!

One more specific piece of advice- your shop announcement should have lots of key words to help google find you. Like tags etc but right there in your shop announcement, and right at the start. Also apparently google hates the words free shipping too....

Check out this awesome blog by the sassy critiques team, it has been brilliant for me :-)

Re: Turning view into sales. Any tips??

I too have gotten a lot of views everyday, and not so much sales. I just keep staying active in forums & teams, promoting, and adding new organizational printables!

Re: Turning view into sales. Any tips??

You need to remember that the majority of sales for all retailers come during the Christmas shopping season. You can't really compare that to the rest of the year. I keep reading that now is a good time to work on your product and inventory, sounds like a good plan to me.

Tracy - your shop is gorgeous! Love the products and the photography is wonderful. Maybe you just need to try to promote in new places? You could try advertising on a fashion blog, or get involved on facebook? I keep seeing posts for free advertising on facebook but haven't looked into it.

Re: Turning view into sales. Any tips??

Thank you everyone for the great advice!! I feel a little better now that I know a lot of us are in the same boat. I will definitely be working on my titles and increasing my inventory and advertising more. I am going to do a jewelry party near mother's day too. I had one near Christmas and that was a great success! Will just have to keep my head up and keeping moving forward :)

Re: Turning view into sales. Any tips??

I'm hoping that the upswing in views and and favoriting means that people are bracing themselves for Christmas shopping. This is the time of year that the far more organized people begin to shop. So hold tight, I think it'll get better.
