Treasury Creation

Is there a method to doing Treasuries? I love to do them, but, literally, they me hours!!

I tried the split screen... no help.

I love to promote others and see all the beautiful stuff, but it is both torture and joy.

I could use guidance.

Hi Marsha......I'd love some help with this too, thanks for starting the thread. Treasuries always seem to take me forever. It would be great to know if there are some quick ways to search.

I'd like to know if/how you can search within a specific team, even if those team members don't have their team as a tag.

I'm no help with this, I always spend too long too. Seems like a reflection on my artistic talents (or lack there of.) I think some folks go thru quickly hearting items that fit the theme then go in and look at the hearts & choose from those.

I love making treasuries, but I know I need at least an hour!
It would be helpful if when you went into the team's member's page to have a search tool to help you find particular items from just that team.
How do you suggest something like that to etsy staff? anyone?

Honestly I don't have all day to search either. If I were you and it's "allowed" in your team choose say 4-6 team members and the rest find by subject, color or item. Say you wanted to look for Chevron(which fankly, I'm over) type in Chevron and color you want in the search bar. Choose items that are well made and well photographed.

Most important. Send Your Artists A Message!!!! Let them know they've been treasured. The more the treasury is Admired, Clicked, Tweeted and Liked the more your Treasury is seen and your artists are seen. I just found I was in a treasury back in December I didn't know about!!!! It had like 37 views!! THAT'S IT!!!

It would be great to be able to save a treasury and come back to it later.....say you need cook dinner or pick-up the kids.....

Oh, I just learned the trick to this! There's a Web site that helps. I can make a treasury in no time mow! It also has a save feature, so if you are in the middle of one you can save it and come back later. It also sends a message to the shops to let them know you put their item in a treasury!

Yes shmetsy is great. It makes it so much faster to make treasuries and lets you save a draft.

Some teams have team favorite accounts that have all the team members items in it so you just have to search there to find items.

When ever I see an item that would look good in a treasury I favorite it. So my favorites are the first place to go to find items to fill in a treasury.

I usually pick a color and an theme to search for like "peach beach". That helps narrow down the items and makes the treasury look cohesiveness.

When I started to make treasuries last year it would take me around an hour. Now I usually take less then 10 minutes.

I downloaded the Schmetsy but don't know how to use it.

When I make a treasury I open up two Etsy tabs--not separate windows, but tabs--in my browser.

On the first tab I have the treasury I am working on,

In the second tab I have the search--let's say I am searching for blue things.

When I see something in the search I want to include click on it while pressing the "command" button. I think that is "alt" for pc users. It comes up in a new tab.

I copy the url, go to my treasury tab, and paste it in there. If good things come up in that first search then I can fill a treasury in about 20 minutes.
