Treasuries Question

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I'm a newbie....a newbie now addicted to my stats! In recent weeks I've been creating treasuries. I started because it fun to do and I loved the idea of promoting others. I went a few forums and was told that even if you feature one of your own items or you feature less than 12, Etsy won't "notice" you. I have noticed by views and favorites have increased almost immediately after doing one, but no sales have results. I'm a firm believer I have to get them into my shop first so I'm happy with the traffic. I have two questions (a) how does Etsy handle and promote treasuries? (b) how the heck do some of these treasuries have 4K, 5K, 7K views?!?!?!?!? Some of these sellers list their followers, others just their admirers, but their numbers don't get that high. What's the deal-i-o?

I don't think Etsy shows Treasuries anymore. That stopped quite some time ago, right? It's been a very long time since I created one. They didn't work for me at all so I stopped. It was fun trying to put all these beautiful colors and items together, but very, very time consuming and tiring for my hands.

Those sellers who get thousands of views, belong to teams and play games 'promote me to promote you' kinda of thing. Some of them have strict rules and if you don't 'perform' you get kicked out. That's another thing I do not have time for.

Hey, if they work for you, then it's great. But lots of views and favorites and admirers don't always mean lots of sales. I suppose you'll have to see as time goes by how it goes for you.

Yeah, treasuries aren't featured any longer. They used to be able to get featured on the front page, but that ended months ago.

Like Minerva said, the people who get tons of views for their treasuries belong to teams that are dedicated to just that. And I have no time for that.

I used to belong to teams that were dedicated to treasuries and other "favoriateing" games, but I gave up on them because it didn't bring in the sales and the views were not authentic. I decided to dedicate my time to "off etsy marketing" (ie social media). That has helped me so far.

I have only made 3 treasuries so far. Once I finish it, I send a link to each shop I've featured asking them to view, click, and share on all forms of social media - Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, & to Pin on PInterest. I only have Pinterest and pin my treasuries using Treasury pin.com. I don't get very many views either, but I think if you feature the right shops & they have a large following on social media, views could skyrocket.
