Traffic!! 0o

Had a Huge spike in traffic....over a thousand in 3 hours yesterday 0o and its still going 350 since today(in the east coast started, one hour in ATM)
checked craft cult....Im not there at all so not a Front page thing

Its all from etsy...my listings on the traffic source.

Any ideas what is going on? I normally get around 150 a day...300 a good day 0o

Thrilled of course...but totally baffled at the same time...

Maybe an item got featured on the front page?

Re: Traffic!! 0o

Maybe you recently listed new items with tags like spring, easter, or ... whatever else is trending at the moment?

Re: Traffic!! 0o

I've noticed that if one of my items gets bumped up to the first page in the browse sections then I get a spike in views.

Maybe check and see if you can tell which item is getting the most views, and where it's coming from under traffic sources?

Re: Traffic!! 0o

Maybe you are featured on the front page or in etsy finds email ? I was featured last year for mothers day in etsy finds and got several thousand views

Re: Traffic!! 0o

Craft Cult doesn't list your shop as being featured on the front page. You were probably featured in an Etsy newsletter. Hopefully someone has seen it and can provide you with a link. Congratulations!

Re: Traffic!! 0o

Finds, maybe? You don't get that kind of spike from the FP.

Re: Traffic!! 0o

Were any of your items featured in an Etsy newsletter?

One of my Christmas stockings was featured in one of Etsy's newsletters back in December and I got a few hundred extra views that day ... and it continued higher than average for a couple more days. (Strangely enough, that stocking didn't sell until this year!)

Re: Traffic!! 0o

If you scroll down in your stats it will tell you which item is getting all the traffic. Above that in the Keywords section, you will be able to tell by the numbers there whether it was because someone searched for it. If the numbers are low in keywords, then it means your product appeared somewhere on Etsy. Doesn't have to be the front page but maybe a treasury that got pinned or highly publicized.

Re: Traffic!! 0o

well thats the mystery....no one item/listng got more then 12 views...average seems to be about 9 on all 300 so odd. No one source sent them, not an outside webpage or etsy
search terms wasnt it.
Got 3k in views from 8pm to 6am that day. 0o

was just weird...perhaps its a glitch.
