To respond or not respond?

When they "heart" your item do you respond with a thank you or an offer?

Unfortunately, though it seems like it would be a nice gesture, it's considered spam and against Etsy's terms of use to contact/convo someone in response to a heart. Those who get give/get lots of favorites in a day would be totally overwhelmed by the convos.

It's considered spam to respond to someone who favs an item. Don't do it - they might report you o_O

No you don't respond. Absolutely not. That's considered spam & can get you into trouble on Etsy.

It's a good idea to heart their shop or add them to your circle.

People have carte blanche for reporting you for SPAM if you do that, I am glad you asked about it

And I always do what Kathleen said, if I do like their shop, I will add them to my circle of favourite them back

I used to until I learned from these threads that it's not appropriate. Since then, I sure haven't!
