To Group or not to Group?

My Aunt made these and they were one of the first items I listed in my shop. I had put them all in one listing, stating it was for one and to state which color, but I think that maybe wasn't a good idea. Do you think I should ungroup them and list each one? I have more that she has made, but hadn't listed those since I wanted to see how these would do and sadly, they don't get much love and I think it is the way they are presented. Should I get the others listed also? Any advice would be nice! Thanks

And yes, I know that one picture is yellow- have no idea what happened there with my camera.

Yes, list them separately. Not only will it lead to less confusion for customers, it will be 3 more possibilities to be found that you didn't have by grouping them.

Also, but having them listed separately you can work on making each listing relevant and SEO'd

I agree with what Serenity said. You will also have the opportunity to highlight each item individually with five photos.

I agree with SerenityInChains about listing them separately. The first picture could be a close up of the individual brooch-just an idea.

Re: To Group or not to Group?

Ok, I had seen other shops that had group listings, but usually it was the exact same item- just different color and these are all a little different. What's the best way to show these off? I know it is more of an old school craft, but I do think they are cute, just not sure how to present them to really make them shine (hence, why I haven't done to much with them).

Also- should I break up the sets? I am not really sure why she made a key and a purse to go together (she can be a little quirky- I say that with love)

Re: To Group or not to Group?

I would suggest getting a larger sheet of white paper (so you can't see the wood), learning your camera or finding a good editor (one of your photos is VERY yellow, an editing program can easily fix that in a few seconds though!) and putting each one up individually. I would separate the key and purse (it is a bit strange but she obviously had some idea behind it). I think you're more likely to sell them individually than a listing that has them all and says pick one (trust me, most people do NOT read descriptions so they would probably buy it and expect them all)

I agree with what's been said before and I would like to add that you need to get rid of the glare on your pics as it prevents seeing the items properly. Either you're using a flash and shouldn't or this is the reflexion from a light somewhere and you need to make sure it doesn't show when taking the pics.

Re: To Group or not to Group?

Thanks, just got done redoing the pictures completely- with a white background and no flash. :) These were one of the first things I posted and really didn't know to well what I was doing. I took them off the card stock their on also and made them look better imo. I'll post a listing when I get it up to see what you all think.

thanks so very much for the advice- was enough of a push to get this done!

Re: To Group or not to Group?

So, I just edited the old listing- saved 0.20 cents! It does look a lot better. I will fotofuze them later to make the background brighter. When I was editing them on my computer- the background looked bright- but when I list them, they still look a little dark.
