Tips for cracking "Christmas Ornament" search results?

Ugh... it was so much easier coming up in Christmas search results when it was summer!

I have this Christmas ornament in my shop:

Now, when I search "Christmas ornament," I get 117,000 items. As far as I can tell, I am nowhere near the top, and I haven't gotten a Christmas-themed search query in my shop views for a long time!

I thought I was doing everything right - I start my title off with "Christmas ornament," I use "Christmas ornament" several times in the listing text, I have tags that say "Christmas ornament," "Christmas decoration," etc.... but I am just being crowded out of search results in the Christmas avalanche.

Am I just falling victim to all of the mega-viewed, mega-favorited, mega-treasuried Christmas items here on Etsy? Do I need to work on promoting through other ways? Does anyone have a good Christmas team they can recommend that would help me get more exposure?

I am also working on making MORE Christmas ornaments in other colors - this one was just my prototype to see how my new design looked.

(On a good note, I have made three sales in the past week, but none of them have been for Christmas items.)

I think it's going to be tough because there's so many Christmas ornaments on here. Maybe try being more specific, like using "cross stitched christmas ornament" I also think you should promote as much as you can since it may be hard to find in search... Have you ever thought about using balsam as a filler? Just a thought since I can't cross stitch or sew, I think it would be a cool idea:) Good luck dear!
