Thank you- it never hurts to be reminded of these basic principles.

Things go in cycles, and when I get all fired up, it's so easy to try and do everything at once. Love the 'headlight' analogy!

@NutfieldWeaver - Yes! I feel like I should answer the phone every time family or friends call, even though I'm working. I've trained myself to just say no to the phone when I'm working, though. I can call them back.

@FreehandCards - I loved that part, too! An illuminating analogy ;-) (i know, I know - groan!!!)

Also found this very relevant to me right now, as I'm finding it difficult to manage my time. I try to keep in mind one of my favorite quotes, " Never let things that matter most be at the mercy of things that matter least." But in the rush of a busy day, sometimes I don't stick to that. Loved that thoughtful post, thanks!!
