Thinking up a new name.

I haven't changed my shop name yet, but i would like to. I'm not yet settled on a specific thing im going to sell in my shop, so I don't want to have a name like "Aly sews" or anything to ridged. How should I go about finding a shop name that is interesting for buyers.
How did you pick your shop name?

When I was choosing mine I didn't know what I wanted to sell either. All I knew was that I wanted to do something based around the idea of love stories and fairytales. And I started thinking about how the main concept of those things is the journey to the "happily ever after". So I started to get all metaphorical about how we are all on a journey and searching for something that always seems to be just out of reach. And so I was trying to figure out how that could translate into a shop title. As you can see I decided on Finding Starlight, which to me represents that journey. We're all trying to find love and happiness.

I see that you're an art student? Maybe you could do something based around that idea? I've always believed that a shop name should not only be about what you sell, but should represent who you are as well.

My father always called my mom Darcia Maria Sweety Darlin. She taught me to sew, and if she were alive would be so involved. However sadly she isn't with me anymore and it was only appropriate to pay homage to her.... so SweetyDarlin.

I have a wide variety of items and try not to limit myself because I don't want to have multiple shops, so I just stick with my same name and put it on EVERYTHING! I have a changing banner for seasons etc like google (sort of) so that nothing is ever focused on a single item.

I think something that is close to your heart is the way to go, but that is what worked for me.
