Thanking someone for positive feedback...

I am soooooooo stoked to get positive feedback after a sale!!! I have only had 4 sales, so maybe it's just all still really exciting and new to me ;-)
But I am seriously so happy when I notice and read my positive feedback that I want to thank the person for leaving it! hahaha

Is that completely crazy? I have never actually done that as I am afraid it would be too in their face.....

But I was just wondering, have any of you every thanked someone for their feedback? Or do you just leave it be?

I will if it's some one I worked with extensively, since I do custom work I have some buyers I work with for a long time and if they leave me good feedback I'll send them a message thanking them for their kind words.

I usually don't though if it's someone I barely had contact with or seemed they weren't really into conversing as much..

Great question, some would consider it spam. If I had developed a comfortable relationship with the buyer, through questions, answering their concerns and they left me great feedback I would definitely convo, a short but sweet thank you.

If I had to think about it twice about sending them a thank you convo, I would not send, meaning the relationship was just a normal, seller to buyer interaction.

The positive result about great feedback it gives future buyers confidence from purchasing fro your Shop.

Keep focused and keep listing items and tweaking your Shop, as we all do daily and your feedback will flourish. Good Luck.

I'm with Rozena...if it's a customer who I worked with on their order for a decent amount of time (or at least had a good amount of communication with them), I'll usually thank them for the kind words. Otherwise I'd just leave a nice positive feedback in return.

Does anyone have any tips on encouraging people to leave feedback. I'm wondering whether I should put a note in with orders to ask for feedback or does this put people off?

From the items I've purchased on Etsy, some have included a note and others haven't. I actually liked the ones that did include a note or something cute about leaving feedback, sometimes I felt like the others who included nothing may not really care whether or not I leave them feedback.

For my own items, I always hand write them a personal thank you (since I tend to have large custom orders and work with them for a while) and on that personal thank you note I usually say "if you get a chance, please return to Etsy and leave feedback for your purchase ("your account - "feedback") so I'll know you received it!" Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes they will just directly message me to tell me they got everything and not leave actual etsy feedback, which is fine too since I love to know they got everything at least!
