Team Tags?

I am a member of a few teams that ask you to put their team tag in your tags. I have faithfully done this for a year now and I'm beginning to wonder if it is in my best interest. I find that 90% of the time if a treasury is being made it is made from one team. The others don't seem to be doing much, yet I don't want to miss anything if they do decide to do something. I think I need someone to give me permission to move on and use those tag spaces for something better. What is your experience?

Haha Move on!!! I just left a bunch of promotional teams because it was taking more time for me to participate than the return I was getting out of it. If there is not a high rate of return, then don't do it. Even with the teams I was on, I never joined teams that required tags as my tag space is precious. That is money, people being able to find you using another term in search. Seriously think of how many people will actually search for your team tag vs. how many might search for a new term you could put there instead. If anything join teams that don't require team tags. Go ahead, delete those puppies, I give you permission. :) :) :)

I love my teams but do not use team tags.
It's a matter of preference.
Let your intuition lead the way.

I would be lost without the teams I joined. I make treasuries using team tags.

I'd move on and remove the tags from the teams that aren't as active. I belong to one very active team and I add their tag to every listing. It's paid off because they include my items in treasuries whenever possible. It's only one tag so it's not taking up too much valuable tag space. When Christmas came around and I needed to update my tags I removed the team tag on some items, then put it back when the holidays were over.

Alright, thank you. I think I will remove all the team tags except for the really active one (TT Team - I tend to get quite a few treasuries from that one). And you are right that tag space is valuable. Rachel, I like that you equated that with money - that hit me right.
