Tax Question?

Has everyone else had etsy. ask for tax info? What do they want and is it legit?

Yes, its legit.

Etsy by law must issue a 1099K tax form if you meet specific requirements

so they make sure that if you are even close that they have the required information on file.

Paypal also issues 1099K forms as well

I just found a post by an Admin in the forum last night that says Etsy will request this info when a shop is approaching 75 sales.

Apparently it doesn't matter if those 75 sales only added up to $500 (I'm thinking hairbows or other inexpensive items here), and there's not even a snowball's chance in hell that the shop will get to the required $20,000 level.
