Tags are not working?

Hi there! I am now 6 days online with my shop and my tags seem not to be working i.e. typed in into search steampunk skull necklace... nothig!? None of my listing is showing up! What's wrong? Am I doing something wrong? Listings have those keywords in titles and tags... Also when I don't spell my shop name the EXACT way it is spelled in my shop (i.e. Alvar elements) google is not showing any etsy results... hmmmm...??? Thanks for help and suggestions! :-)

try phrases... like; skull necklace, steampunk skull, skull pendant ... you have two unused tags in the Neo Victorian listing, so give a couple of those a try. and try repeating phrases from your title in the beginning of your description... the rule of 3 ... repeat in title, tags and description.

BTW, I just searched by the same terms as yours and it came up on the first page ;) some may only search by skull necklace, so it couldn't hurt to use that as a single tag.

I think your titles could be improved. Words like "unique individuals" might not be the best for search relevancy. I'm pretty sure that tags are working, since they are working for everyone else. You just have to get used to the "art" of search engine optimization. Titles > tags on Etsy, but both matter.

As for your tags, you have a lot of terms like "wearable art" which I don't think are very popular search terms. 6 days is not a long time, and it can take months to get used to effectively titling and tagging.

Tags are working, but you need to continue refining titles and tags. Check your Shop Stats (Your Account > Shop Stats) to see which keywords are bringing people to your shop.
