Tag help?

I'd like to know what should I have in the tags to optimize my sales and views. I'm particularily interested in what would you tag these two bags?

I have more bags of the same style coming along and the style is something I find hard to describe. "Vintage style"? "Retro?" No? If it was to be "vintage style", wouldn't the word "vintage" be misleading as it's all handmade? Or if someone searches for vintage bags, will these come up? Hope not!

Vintage style, handbag, lady bag, felt bag, embroidered bag, retro purse, clasp bag

Whether that's right or not I don't know but those are words I'd used to describe your BEAUTIFUL bags. People who are looking for vintage will use the vintage search option, so if your bags are in the handmade section they they shouldn't come up. Even if they did, someone might love it and buy it anyway. All exposure is good I think :).

He's much better now than before the heart attack, thanks for asking! I think when you have to face the fact that life has it's limits and is not forever, it makes you see things differently. So we all have been able to turn this family emergency to an opportunity to re-evaluate our lives and become much closer.

With the new relevancy search on Etsy I have read many times that your tags need to match your title - Knitted Felt Bag, Beige, Embroidered, Pink, Bird - then you can add in things like fashion, vintage, clutch...

Using your title three times in your description helps as well!

Glad to hear it Sini! I went through some similar things last year with my family. It really makes you take stock of what's important in life. Great that he's better!

Good luck with the tags! I think it's a never ending cycle! I'm always making amends. I find the stats really useful as you see what people are searching for.

Yup, various searches with the word "felted" are the ones that bring me views through searches, but I'm hopelessly trying to reach out to those poor people who are searching for cute bags in other categories too :)
