Tag Help

Was looking up girls aprons to see what kind of tags they used and none of them used the color of the apron. Should I not do that? What kind of tags would you use for looking up one of my aprons? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I absolutely would include the color. I can't imagine why the other sellers don't.

I would use "full apron" or "half apron" what colors, what prints, etc. They are very cute!

I wouldn't necessarily search for a specific color. I would browse in general and just choose one I like regardless of the color, but that's just me and I'd think there's people who do want a specific color so it can't hurt to have it in your tags. Have you ever noticed in your stats people coming to your shop because they were searching for a specific color?

I just looked at the tags of one of your aprons (so cute BTW) and you have too many tags that are just colors. You can use one or two to specify the main color but not every single one of them. I think you're wasting your tags. Try to use phrases instead of just one word (especially if that one word is just a color).
I'm not sure what tags I would use. I know if I was searching for them, I would type "girls apron" and go from there, but that's just one tag and you should use all of them. Maybe try synonyms for "girl" like toddler or infant. Maybe something like girl cooking apron or craft apron or school apron. I don't know.. I'm just thinking of the situations where a girl would use an apron.

Just changed my tags to what you suggested Andrea. I hope this helps me out.

You can also type 'apron' into the etsy search bar and it will show you the most recent top searches with that word. That always helps me come up with more tags. Plus then you'll know if you type in something like 'pink lace apron' and no results show up then you shouldn't use it because no one is using that search term. I have no idea on if that term actually shows results though lol
