Suggestions...

I feel extraordinarily blessed with my store and the sales it has achieved. I hope for any at-home entrepreneur it's still acceptable to ask for suggestions. Looking at my shop - I was wondering if anyone could give me their honest opinion about my aesthetic and where it could be improved.

Do the designs match?
Are the photos okay?
My shop has a geeky/fandom vibe so far - What designs should I make more of? I have other geeky designs in mind. Would it be more appealing if I offered more generalized designs for important causes, holidays, etc?

I appreciate everyone's time and thank you for your advice - in advance!

Re: Suggestions...

I'm not sure what you should make more of. A good indication would be what gets more views, what customers buy more of, what style they choose when they place a custom order. Then test some new ideas, if you wish, and see how it goes. As for the holidays....Halloween or Xmas theme might be appealing....

Aesthetically, all looks good to me. There is a cohesiveness in your shop, all blends well together and it's very clear what you do. The custom order options are very clear too.

Something that stood out...I think the writing in some of your photos on the front page of your shop might be too large in comparison to the small product you are photographing. Maybe it's just me, though...

Re: Suggestions...

1) Not all of your items are in a shop section. I'd try to put most into one section or another so that buyers can find things easily by category

2) Two of your 'featured' (first row in the shop) listings are then also on your first page of items. Kick those to the second or third page since you dont need the same listing on the main page twice.

3) I'm not a super knowledgeable about copyright law myself, but I know that some brands/companies (i.e. Disney) are pretty diligent and serious about protecting their intellectual property and shops can get shut down for using their name to promote items, or for selling items based on their property. Make sure to okay use of any "brand" (Harry Potter, Dr. Who, etc) or look into the laws surrounding the company's copyright so that your shop is protected!

Re: Suggestions...

Thank you guys so much for the suggestions! I am going to be moving items around and making other sections. So far, my items haven't received a notice of copyright laws or breach. When I make my designs, I try to stay within the realm of items being inspired by rather than using direct images or text. I will take it more into consideration as I make other designs. I am trying to make more generalized ones so there is more of a balance between nerdy and regular. :)
