Successful Shop Evolution Critique

[DexMex]

I’ve run a successful shop for 2 years now and have decided my shop name and look have been a bit to focused on a Mexican theme. I’ve slowly evolved my work and name to appeal to a wider audience over the last year with much success. So I plan to eventually phase out the name DexMex.

Everyone can use a critique now and then. I would appreciate any input about my work or new direction of my shop.

I'm assuming you haven't had a response to your post yet, because there isn't much to critique :)

You have fantastic photos, professional graphics, tons of product listings, and great tags!

You have definitely separated yourself from any trace of a "mexican theme", so a name change would certainly be beneficial.

Wow, what a change from your first sales to today's products. Beautiful shop, great pictures. I don't think it matters what your shops name is, your products speak for themselves. But the name on your banner sounds more professional than dexmex does.

I feel like creative evolution is essential an artist or creator.

Your shop looks fantastic.

I actually have to differ on the name change. I wouldn't do it. I LOVE your about page, it gives a sense of who you are culturally and makes your shop name seems fitting and spot on.

But for everything else...if it ain't broke it, don't fix it :)

I've seen your evolution and have to say your shop is delightful Mike. You have a great array and I really don't think there's much to critique.

Regarding the name change, I remembered your story on your "About" page and I think it's charming. I guess it depends on whether you feel that initial branding isn't working for you. I can certainly understand wanting to broaden your horizons. I do think you should keep the original Mexican graphic element as part of your collection.

I like the way you're using Dex Mex in your banner now, in tandem with your new name. I think it will keep the connection for your followers. You should also be sure to include Dex Mex as a tag in your items.
