Stats to aim for with a new shop?

So I've just started selling stuff (BDSM floggers) on my new shop (https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/Kinkybutcute?ref=hdr_shop_menu) and I'm interested to know how to tell how well I'm doing so far/in the future.

I've got 17 items in stock (making more stuff to add of course!), with one sale so far, which I'm really happy about. :) It would be useful for me to know what a good rate of views/sales/favourites per week would be for a shop of my size,

Any advice or comments welcome. :)

Re: Stats to aim for with a new shop?

Well, every shop is different when it comes to the amount of views/sales/faves they get per week. Obviously, you will want to get more as time goes on.

But I have some tips for you to help get you the sales/views you want and need.

1. Photos. You'll need to slightly work on yours because they are not cropped properly. Parts of the product are cut off when you initially view the product. But when you click on it, its fine. You might want to look into this and fix it.

2. SEO. There's a lot to learn with SEO, so you might want to join a SEO team or two and have them critique an item or two.

3. Get on social media and try to get featured on blogs. This will help.

4. You also have some other shop set up you really should finish. You need to get some policies in place. And a shop banner.

Re: Stats to aim for with a new shop?

Thanks Nikki, that's really helpful. :)

1. With the photos point, do you mean the thumbnails you see when searching? I'll definitely have a look at redoing those.

2. Sounds good, I'll do some research then join a team.

3. Another good point - I've started up a tumblr blog, and will start looking up people to pester! Do you think it's a good idea to see if there are any blogs I could send a free product to review?

4. Definitely agree - I'll be working on my policies today (wanted to do some research first so I don't put people off), and I plan to get a more artistically-minded friend to help with the banner.

Thanks again for the constructive criticism!
