Stat junkie / What time of day?

What time of day is busiest for your shop? I seem to get busiest around the boring times of workdays, around 2pm....

But on that note, should I really pay any mind to daily stats at all? What view is most helpful to you when viewing your stats: past 7 or 30 days? Or something else? I try not to look too much at daily views, but it is so addictive!

It really depends on the day. Since it shows in East Coast time, it always screws me up!

I like looking at the daily. Because I've been watching when I have been promoting and not promoting to see a difference. I do an analysis on a weekly basis. Since we just ended the first week of the month, I put the stats on a spreadsheet I made so I can see growth or decline.

Sounds uber nerdy but I am interested in seeing how I grow (or not)!

I can't work out a pattern. I mostly pay attention to what keywords buyers use to find my items.

I just went back and looked at about a dozen random days, and things look relatively steady all day. I don't see a spike in view at any particular time of the day.

I always look at the daily. I've noticed that most of my views come in the morning and work day. Views are practically non-existent for me at night.
I try not to view my stats too much as well...it's just too addicting!

Yesterday between 4 and 6 I had over 100 views. Don't know what happened to cause that.

I know for me I see an automatic spike when I tweet an item -- so every 30 minutes (lol!)

BUT the busiest times for me seem to be: 1-3 a.m., 6 a.m., 8-10 a.m., 12-1 p.m., 8-10 p.m. EST

It donned on me a couple of weeks ago that I need to be tweeting 24hrs a day for the various time zones around the world and that's definitely helped drive traffic.

And I look at daily stats -- it is just way too addicting not to! =)

Of course it would be after I publicly comment that weekends are super slow for me that I get two sales in the span of two hours (a lot for me). Just goes to show you that you never can tell.

I find it so confusing. Its something I would love to see Etsy improve because it shows stats for EST and I am in the U.K! Would be great if like the pricing they could show it in both the location you are in and EST

I'm taking a week or two off from viewing stats as I;m feeling that I'm overanalysing and making too mant changes to the shop. I'm going to stop and breathe for a bit ;)

I'm a marketing analyst in my real job so I spend way too much time looking at my stats. But it has been hard for me to watch them because it seems like there is no rhyme or reason. Just when I start to notice that Wednesdays are my good day, I have a terrible Wednesday. Sales trickle in throughout the day and then it seems like I'll get a few more in a row around 10 or 11 right after I have told myself to quit for the night.
