Stamps.com vs. Encidia vs. Ship Station?

Anybody have good or bad reviews on any of these? I am looking for on that allows International postage printing and free tracking (for domestic).

Now that all of my customers are paying through direct check out, PayPal postage printing is not as convenient so I may as well look for a service that will save me from EVER going to the post office!! lol ;)

Re: Stamps.com vs. Encidia vs. Ship Station?

I just signed up for a "free" trial with Stamps.com. They offer a bunch of incentives and for $10 they send you a postage scale (which I have needed to replace my old one for a while)

So far, so good, after the first month, it is $15.99 a month (I think Endicia is $18?) and I can print international postage and they offer free tracking :)

Anyone have thoughts on Endicia or Ship Station?.....

I've been using Endicia for a while for International orders. I've never used the others, so I can't compare. My first 3 months were free (just google "Encidicia coupon code" and you'll find one) and it's $15.95/mo after that. I like it, no complaints.

Thanks Ashlee! For some reason I thought Endicia was more expensive, maybe I will check it out after my trial period with Stamps.com, I like the 3 months free bonus :)

I use stamps.com and prefer it over pay pal shipping. It's easy to track packages, fees, get refund when you print the wrong postage, etc.

For me it's well worth the $15/mo

Re: Stamps.com vs. Encidia vs. Ship Station?

I recently signed up with stamps.com, got my scale and everything set up. I'm very happy with the service so far, it saves me from long rides to the post office everyday and waiting. More time = more listings in my shop and makes it completely worth the $15 a month. I also love being able to provide a tracking number to my customers.

On the other hand, I found out after subscribing for the trial that they are REALLY hard to cancel. There are tons of reviews of people having to get their credit card company involved to close the subscription.

Also, know that the scale provided is made to work with their software only. However, if you're done with them and still have the scale, I found this awesome little software someone made to still be able to use the scale:

I would love to hear more about the other options! :-)

Hello! I have been using ShipStation and love it. You get a free subscription of Endicia with ShipStation, plus can print out packing slips and makes printing postage labels (including international postage), a breeze.

I believe there is a 30-day Trial.

Re: Stamps.com vs. Encidia vs. Ship Station?

I've been using Endicia for a long time and like it. USPS International labels are easy to create, but even if you are having home pickup you technically supposed to HAND Int'l packages to your mail carrier, which is a pain since I never know when they will come and can't just leave them on the porch. Sometimes they overlook the requirement though.

Re: Stamps.com vs. Encidia vs. Ship Station?

I contacted USPS yesterday about paypal and stamps.com having cheaper shipping rates than the post office does. They said that 1st class is not available on their online click & ship service, just priority and express. You can just put stamps on it and drop it in the mailbox (under 13 ounces) but then there's no delivery confirmation.
I've had some orders with direct checkout and the shipping rates are higher than I have in my shipping profiles. A 3 ounce package on paypal is 1.64 and at the post office it is 1.95 plus delivery confirmation.
I don't think I have the volume to justify stamps.com but it will save time.
I don't want to get rid of direct check out. I think it's more comfortable for alot of customers rather than paypal and I hate paypal's almost monopoly.

Re: Stamps.com vs. Encidia vs. Ship Station?

OK, so I may be a bit late for this topic but I don't pay anything extra for shipping my packages. I just use Paypal - ship now. Its no fees your information is already populated, you jut have to populate the buyers info.
Here is the link http://tinyurl.com/bopc375 ***Its safe to copy and paste****You have to log into paypal and then enter the data.
I think they are trying to move customers away from this and use there shipping software, however, with low volume I find this easier.
You can print, first class, International, Priority and media mail. I can't figure out why they don't do regional.

Re: Stamps.com vs. Encidia vs. Ship Station?

A lot of people I know use Endicia - it's supposed to be great. PayPal isn't bad, or wasn't, until they took away the ability to send packages Parcel Select. Most of my packages in my soap shop go out that way, so that made me a little angry. I do most of my label printing through Etsy now, and I think Endicia is their platform.
