I think the spanish community is growing up so quickly! And Etsy give us the opportunity of showing but also of understanding each other.
I'm wondering if we translate each item to both languages, do we have more opportunities of being found?

I think so, and I hope so! I have translated some of my items, I don't have much time right now and is a lot of work, but whenever I find some time I try to translate more. I will definitely recommend you to translate your descriptions!

A short while ago, I noticed that you can now navigate Etsy in Spanish, which is a good thing. I think that translating your descriptions would be a great idea, but so time-consuming. Internationally, that would be an asset for people living in Spanish-speaking countries.

¿No podemos usar el Sr. Google para traducirlo? A veces sé que no lo haga bien pero es un empiezo.... Then after it was translated in rough draft form one could go back in and correct. I was thinking of doing this in my shop. But I have not had the time because I am moving. Please let us know how well it works to have bi-lingual listings. ¡Muchísimas gracias por empezar este hilo!

I've been thinking about this, too. I live in Spain and it would be convenient to have my listings translated to Spanish so I can promote my shop locally, but it's so time-consuming, especially when you're constantly tweaking your titles and descriptions. And I don't know that it would really help that much. But I'd be willing to do it if there's interest - just don't know how to gauge that in the first place! It would be cool if Etsy could break stats down by country - if I see I have many views from Spanish-speaking countries, I'd definitely translate my shop faster.
