How many coupon code messages do you guys get a day because you have favorited an item from another ETSY seller?

Zero. You should consider reporting someone who sends you a message for favoriting their item as it is against Etsy rules. I do get a lot of messages from Treasurers who've featured me, which is also against the rules, but I don't report them usually, because they aren't asking me to buy something.

Are you sure treasury makers notifying featured sellers is against the rules? Shmetsy even has a tool for this, and it seems odd that they would, if it was against the rules.

I like knowing when one of my items is in a treasury. I hope that's not against the "rules"!

I was also wondering if getting messages from people who have added your item to a treasury is spam...gotta read the rules again (but I hope it isn't...I like to be notified in case I don't have time to search for my shop name...and I like to leave a message on their treasury thanking them).

Coupon codes on the other hand while I favorite an item = not cool :(
But I feel bad reporting.

Gotten zero here. I would never send such a thing ether, unless someone asked me to. If you get them, and don't like getting them, try to kindly ask them to stop, if they don't, report them.

I looked it up in the DOs and DONTs and couldn't find a rule against messaging featurees for treasuries. There might have been a rule a while ago or maybe someone misinformed me, so I'm sorry for the confusion.

Here's what the page says about messaging DONTs:

"- You must not use Conversations to send unsolicited advertising or promotions, requests for donations or "spam."

- If someone hearts your shop/item to mark it as a Favorite, that is not an invitation to send a Conversation to that person."

None lately, altho I've had a couple in the past... I just ignore them.

And I believe it's no longer against the rules to notify those featured.

I think that the people who convo coupon codes honestly don't realize that what they are doing is a turn-off to most, and they are just trying to be good salesmen ( or saleswomen ).

I agree with Sarah M. Some of the spam messages I've gotten have mentioned how behind they are in messaging people thanking them for "liking" an item.
