Spam

I the past 3 days I have received spam in my conversation box, 1st from a team I joined, stating they would be sending more link up emails about facebook pages, blogs etc. And now I have one from some internet download that has nothing to do with Etsy. Is anyone else experiencing this? And where can I go to report these infractions? Thanks!

Yes, I did. I used to have copies of convos sent to my email address but I opted out of that after I rec'd a 2nd spam a few days ago. When I searched to the Etsy "person" who sent me the convo (their Etsy ID was qaqaqa (or something like that) ... in any event I reported it to Etsy and never hear back from anyone.

I got probably the same convo about downloading. I reported it to Etsy. I went to Help and then Contact Etsy. Give them the seller name and the message.

If you forward the convo notifications that you receive in your email to abuse@etsy.com they will take care of it immediately. I got three of the dadadada and qaqaqaq spam emails on Monday, forwarded the "Etsy conversation from dadadada" emails to abuse@etsy.com, and they had resolved it by the end of the day. Hope that helps!

When you get to Help ...There is a section titled "Report A Problem" and under that there is a line for Report Possible Spam.

I got spam the other day, I just deleted it, but you would think that the convo system would be protected from this kind of thing . . . hmmmmmm.

Yes, I just recieved a convo message about downloading music, movies, ect.
That really sticks!! I would like a message about an order :)

Ok I reported it to Etsy, I just thought our seller accounts were protected from mass spamming like this:(

it appears they joined for the sole purpose of spamming.

YES! I'm getting spam convos from newly opened shops/users... the one I got this morning was from ... wwtoooooo.etsy.com ... it's obvious it's a fake shop meant for spam... is there anyway to stop this??

I got a convo this morning from some nonsense letters with a link to google and "its free" after it. wth?? reported it.

I got one from the same person- wwtooo or whatever the name is, I report it. Hopefully etsy shuts down that account. But Im sure more will pop up.

I received 3 bogus convos and deleted them. Apparently the spammer is lurking about again. Never click on any suspicious links.

Yes I just got something too, I had deleted it, I would not open it. I tried to see how to report it but the person did not exist anymore
