@bapsi
I follow several handmade "shops" on Facebook, ones that have over 1,000 followers (but none are in my category). They have giveaways a lot or some do shout outs to other businesses if you give them your info. With the 300+ new followers lately, those have come from 1 location. I've done two giveaways with Talking Chicken Scratch on Facebook. She does them every Saturday. The thing is, if you want to enter the contest to win something, you have to LIKE every single shop's FB page. She has over 3,000 followers which is amazing. I'm currently the only Bath & Body shop in her giveaways, but I literally put up a $5 item to giveaway and get 150 followers each weekend. But at the same time I'm getting those followers, I'm also doing a sale or auction (like right now) on my FB page while those new followers are coming in and I'm directing them there, therefore I'm getting more sales. Hope all that makes sense. You should check out Talking Chicken Scratch. At the top of her FB is the link to the vendor form with the rules, etc.
Locally, I do craft shows and am working on getting into a monthly handmade market that currently has no bath & body shops. Once I'm in there and can stay each month, that will be like my local store front.
Feel free to convo me if you'd like further details.
