Slow June??

Greeting, all.

Has June been slow for anyone else? April and May were both booming (I sold 20 orders during each month), but June has been painfully slow. I’m not even getting the same volume of “favorites”. Is anyone else having this problem?

June has been much better than May, and I have already beaten last June's sales and revenue. Would I like it busier? Yeah, but it is my off season so I am grateful for the sales that I am getting.

yes, I've been hearing how quiet things have been this past couple of months a lot lately, and not just here on etsy.

mind you, I have only opened my shop in May and had my first 5 sales very quickly, and then there wasn't a sale since June started.
I do get a lot of views, and the number of visitors is steadily growing - I keep learning new things about etsy, spend time on it every day, tweaking, so hopefully it will bring some results after July, 1st - someone told me the other day that things will start moving again in July =)

but yes, judging by my shop stats, people are still looking and hearting, just not buying for some reason.

I am hoping for things to change soon!

I wasn't having a slow June until I stumbled into these "slow June" posts... It had been my best month on Etsy, ever.

Get lots and lots of favorites, but low to no sales....so I am trying a free shipping offer for June to see if a great change happens!

I have been on for about a year and only have had three sales total. Hard to keep hanging in there, but one foot in front of the other....keep going.

June for me is traditionally one of my 'slower' months of the year. It has been that way for the past 10 years.

So I use June and July to work on adding new lines so that come August (once the kids go back to school) that my shop is stocked and ready to go.

In the meantime I continue with my marketing to keep my name 'out there' in front of my target customers.

March, April and beginning of May were quite good for me - lots of favourites, treasuries and quite a few sales. I thought that finally all of my hard work was paying off and my shop was picking up...then virtually nothing. Favourites have gone to a few a day, hardly any treasuries and 1 sale in 6 weeks. Its really disappointing.

I have definitely seen a decrease in sales for June! Hope it picks up soon!

June has been super slow for me on Etsy, but I've gotten lots of orders from my Facebook page and friends!!!

So slow here, I can hardly believe it. Views are about the same, but only 3 small orders so far. I had about 18 last month and even more in April and March. I believe this is the slowest month I have EVER had, including the months I was just starting out. It is like a switch has gone off somewhere.
Bizarre and starting to get worrysome, but I am trying to get some long standing projects done and stay positive.

I'm glad for this post, I feel like I'm not alone! This is my second month on etsy and since I got 7 sales last month, I assumed this month would be better than May! But, I've only has one order so far this month. I talked to a lot of my shopaholic friends, and they said they keep their money for summer vacation stuff. So maybe that's why it's been slow for us all...

OMG I am glad I found this thread, things have been painfully slow.
I am not even at half of last junes sales.

My wedding orders have completely dropped off the map.

I don't know what is going on... if things continue like this I am going to have to call it a day :(

I'm always intrigued as to if things are really slower than, say, last year. I meticulously compare all of my daily views/sales results to last year and do see that June 2013 is slower than last year (comparing May 2013 to last year was about the same; however all other months for 2013 have been significantly higher than 2012). While I have more returning customers this year and about 1/3 more listings (now at over 250). I'm very curious about why the slowdown, (economic conditions, increased etsy competition, etc,). I assume that it's likely just normal variability. Sure wish there was a way to predict things.

July is typically a pretty slow month for me, but things really start to take off in Aug. I hope so any way.

My first June, but my orders have been good (for me) - 9 so far this month. But my total amount made is a 1/3rd of what I usually make - so I'm only selling small items. It's a bummer but I'm always happy to make a sale, regardless of the amount!

Thanks, everyone. I'm sorry if this thread is bringing you all bad luck - it certainly was not my intention. I guess it also depends on the type of items you sell. A large portal of my inventory is wedding/bridal/baby related, so I'm particularly perplexed as to why those items are not selling doing this peak time.

When do people move traditionally - summer, right? The kids are out of school and it's logistically easier. Hopefully, things will pick up soon. Thanks again for your feedback!!

Yes, it has been slow. My views are way down from May. April and May were good months but June is turning out so far to be half of June 2012...although it is not over yet but with only one week to go it is going to be way down from last years June.
