Slow January

So far sales for January have been low, well even lower than low with not having one sale as of writing this.

I know sales in January are always low. I'm just hoping it picks up for now on.

How are your January sales going, are you sales up or down from last year?

This shop had a slow December, but January is on track to be average. I also don't usually get a summer slump like many do. Maybe people buy more jewelry in the summer?

Of course you have to take into account that you are selling seasonal items.

As most people have already said it been slow but I think thats just in comparison to how busy it gets in November/December, I have had three sales so far this month but that was only after I started taking the time to relist sold items from Christmas, promote on social media and add new lines, I have also had a custom order for an engagement present that I am excited about doing so cant really complain here :)

Yes, I agree with Tanya. Your items are seasonal and by now people have bought these items for the colder months.

My January has been much busier than past years and even December. Right now for me, people are buying for the next few Holidays. Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, and Easter. I think it just depends on what you are selling.

This has been my best month yet. As of today, the 17 of January, I have had 15 sales this month. I opened in June of last year, and the best month I had was 15 sales.
I'm hoping it continues.

My first January on here as well. Two sales so far this month. I have six and seven during November and December, respectively. Hoping that redoing the photos, improving SEO, promoting, and Valentine's Day will help me overcome a January slump.

I have been very busy with sales during the first 10 days of the month, compared to 0 for first 10 days of last 2 years. Sales are dying off now but views and faves are still way up over January of previous years. Looking forward to a good year.

I have 31 sales, which is up from last year, but last year, I was not advertising, and only had a few things in my shop. I've only started to really concentrate on it since the 1st of the year.

I had a good December, and January started slow. But what about someone buying on 30 December instead of 2nd of January? For some buyers the date does not have this 'month' thing :)
