Showcase Question

Hi All!

I'm pretty new to Etsy and I have my first showcase coming up a week from today (in the bracelets category). I have read many posts saying that showcases aren't really worth it, but I thought I'd try it once to see if it might work for me. However, I have a couple questions I'm hoping you wonderful people might help me with! First, does only the top item of the 10 items you select show up in the showcase? Second, where do the items in the showcase show up- only on the categories pages, or also on search pages? Finally, if you have time and are feeling especially sweet, could you provide some feedback on which bracelet(s) I should feature in my top spot? Thanks so much! I am very happy to have found this team as the discussion threads have been immensely helpful in my first few weeks on etsy!

I'm no expert on showcase but I think your first item in your queue will stay until it gets sold and the next item goes to the showcase. And I think it will only show up on category (bracelet for your case) but like I said, these are my assumptions and I'm sure other people will post better answers. I just wanted to say,

Tara ~ promote your custom orders. Maybe after you complete mine you can showcase it? Or list it in your Categories CUSTOM DESIGNS Welcomed. I know you have it mentioned individually. Please enclose your card(s) with my shipment. Perhaps, there will many more inquiries as to this specific design in the near future. There was an Etsy article on more men shops and products being the focal point this fall. Let me know how the showcase goes? It helped out another shop owner really well.

Thanks so much, Sheri! I hadn't thought of that, but it is a great idea! And you are correct, I do remember the newsletter mentioning that they were looking for an increase in men's shops! I will definitely take you up on your excellent advice! :)

Thanks Momohana! That is my most "favorited" item, so it would definitely be a good one to include. If only one item shows up for the showcase, can you change your top item throughout the day to hit a wider variety of tastes?
