Showcase Bad Experience

Hi everybody!
I reserved a spot to be on Etsy's showcase on August the 19th. I really was not expecting a whole bunch of sales, although I was really hoping for some, but what I did expect was much more traffic into the items that were being "showcased".
I kept a little log of how many views and favorites each of those items had, and to my disappointment, only the first item had a increase of maybe 10 views.
They promise to put you on the top of your item's category for 24 hours.... I can't believe that they did that and only TEN people clicked to check them out.... Has anybody else had a bad experience with this service?

have not done a showcase in a year...
i think they will be a thing of the past soon.

I had a non experience. Didn't seem to bring any traffic at all. Won't go there again.

I believe it was last year when I did a couple of showcases. Saw my item being showcased nicely in the "jewelry" section, but as with most everyone else, I received a large amount of views, but no sales. Very frustrating. I'm excited, however, to find out Etsy's new "surprise" with a new way to promote!

By the way, thanks for letting us all know how your experience with showcasing went! :]

I showcased as well. 4 different categories. $28.00, and I don't feel it was a great success. No sales and the only increase of views was in my quilt category. I don't think I would waste the money again

It is pretty sad that they would take our money like that, though... I will never try this again... I hope that the new surprise works better...
