Should I worry??

So I'm having a great start to my year. I've made four sales which is amazing for me. I've gotten great feedback from my customers and other sellers on Etsy.
My one worry is, 3 of the 4 sales have been of this same blanket. It sold the same day the first time I published it. So I relisted it. And it keeps selling! Which is great!...except the other items aren't selling. So have I just hit upon a popular item, or what?
Am I being silly? I'm getting sales and positive reviews, am I over thinking this??

Re: Should I worry??

If you've got something that sells, just go with it. Your other items will sell - that one item has sold and been relisted, so it will show up higher in relevancy than your other items. Call it your "draw item" and be happy about it!

Re: Should I worry??

That blanket is super trendy right now, the nautical theme is so in! Thats probably why its your best selling item, so congrats!

An idea for you - check out Land of Nod to get a nice idea of current trends for nurseries. You can do this by looking at their best sellers ;)

Re: Should I worry??

I had the same thing happen for two years. One item was extremely popular and other items were more random. Just roll with it and enjoy every sale!!!

Re: Should I worry??

Yeah, i have one pattern in my shop thats popular. The rest is just random as well.

I don't fret too much. I'm just happy that at least one of my items is selling :)

Re: Should I worry??

Some of the most successful shops have very little variety and just sell the same thing over and over again. I would view it as a positive and promote the heck out of that item while it's popular. Sales of your other items will follow. Best wishes!

Re: Should I worry??

Not worry exactly - just realize that the success of this item doesn't necessarily relate to your other items, so focus on what is working and expand on it.

I'd rephotograph some of your other items in the style of this one; I'd expand on the color scheme/theme of this one with other anchor/blue and red items; I'd redo all of your SEO

Re: Should I worry??

I sell my Rowan Berry Locket in the kiltedwoman shop over and over again. Anything that sells like that I keep an extra stock of so I can relist quickly. Don't overthink, be thrilled!

Re: Should I worry??

That's great news! Maybe you can try other anchor-like prints and see if those sell also? And then you can add other nautical related items like shells, palm trees, whales, dolphins, etc...maybe your buyers are beach lovers! <3

Re: Should I worry??

Yep, I sold a certain type of pendant over and over again.....in the spring of each year. Makes sense, it was a seasonal type of pendant. So what did I do, I expanded the items I make in this same category. Same for you the nautical theme is selling? Expand the items you make and sell with the nautical theme, as quick as you can and then put a link to the new items in the listing description for the blanket that's hot now. This is just good business, it is how you find your niche whether it is seasonal or the next big craze.

Re: Should I worry??

not a reply but a question, when you adjust your promotion budget dwn do you get capped at $10? I spend over $100. a month and am being told by etsy to use more to keep my budget up, but my budget is higher than my income from the shop as it is, I will spend myself out of business following that advise, and section B in the promoting area states we can set our own budget, and does not mention being capped at $10, Never Late Never Missed a payment, and how do I over come this without promoting myself out of business and Not be capped at $10 because I try to set up a Reasonable sales strategy that works for me. I do Like Etsy, But am seriously frustrated

Re: Should I worry??

@ Richard, only use Etsy promotional ads if your tags/keywords convert well. If not, you may end up losing a lot of money.

Also, you may not need to use this if you promote your shop enough with teams. Feel free to convo me if you need any other help or tips.
