Should I use ads?

hihi, i think i need help :(
my shop open in 2011 and until now, i only got 58 sales and most sales are in Nov and Dec and that's only 17 sales within two months....
so i was thinking.... should i purchase ads? and where should i purchase?
cuz i tried CraftCult before, it bring views, but... then i wonder if only us (the seller or handmade - er) will actually go to that site, therefore, no sales from it...
and then i did try a wedding blog, but...worse than craftcult, it brings less views even~!
i really would like advice on where should i put my ads....

3 different teams I am on ate discussing this topic now...consensus is no they don't work, only use during slow periods. I have used twice and never got sales.

Do you have Facebook page? Promoting in Facebook is a great source for sellers :) Hope it will help you too!

yes, i have FB page, but i still have no idea how to promote.... like i post new items in it....
or are there any other FB groups or pages i should join to promote my Etsy?

There are many teams to promote your Fb page, but I don't think that will really help you. though.... As long as you have many followers, then regularly keep posting your new item, your fans will see that post and you might get a sale or two from there.. Who knows :)
