Should I remove the "Sample" mark from my photos?

Most of my custom motorcycle bags and accessories listings are intended for the custom orders. We do not mass produce our products, and make them only by the custom order, most of which came from the outside Etsy.

But to show on Etsy what we can do, I have to use the images of the custom made bags and accessories. Therefore, I am using those images with the "Sample" mark on them. In my listings I am clearly stating that the listing is only intended for the custom order and the item on the picture is not for sale.

But I am thinking, would that be better if the first main image will be listed without the "Sample" mark? Would that attract more potential customers? Is this mark prevents from including my items to the treasury lists? What do you think?

Your opinion in this matter is highly appreciated!

Re: Should I remove the "Sample" mark from my photos?

Anna,

My opinion is this; I say remove the "Sample" mark from your photos as each listing clearly states it is a "Custom Made Item". I personally think the "sample" mark detracts from the item in the photos and is not needed. And by the way your items are beautiful, I wish you many sales and success!

God Bless,

Katie

Thank you Katie,

I had this feeling before. So you just supported my thoughts. I will re-do all my listings tonight.

Thank you for your kind words.

By the way, we just finished one custom order for our customer from Florida. Wind, take me to Florida! I want to ride. It was -20C this morning in Ontario.
