What is your opinion of Shoptimizer for critiquing your shop? For those of you who have paid for a monthly plan, do you think it was helpful and worth the money? I have tried the free plan, but in order to fix a few of the things listed I have to buy one of the plans.

Not worth it - conveniently, all my stuff went from A's and B's to almost straight F's when I clicked their little link. I"m not spending money with them. According to my Shop Stats, people are finding me through Google and Etsy searches just fine. Everything they're going to tell you, you can find for free right here on Etsy.

If you want to join a good SEO team, I would suggest cindylouwho2's team - she's great.

Just my humble opinion, though. :P

I was given an "A" the first and last time I tried it. That was long before I had my long titles, which have helped my shop tremendously. I haven't going back to it since.

Save your money. You can get good advice from the teams. Shoptimizer offers basic advice such as using more than 1 picture, updating your tags, etc.

Shoptimizer isn't a person, the best thing to do is find a good critique team. I mean shoptimizer used to get me all the time for having a shop description over so many characters, and too long of titles, but real people can notice things like this word isn't relevant etc.

Didn't it used to be free? I had great grades then, and could view the helpful hints, I thought, to make them all A's; a few days ago, they sent me a "report card", I had mostly F's, and I couldn't click the tips without paying. I felt a little jaded and used...I'm not about to pay for it...

Thanks for all the advice - I was thinking the same thing. Same thing happened to me... first time I got practically all A's and then got a report card the other day with a lot of F's. I know my shop still needs work but I didn't think I merited all the F's! Thanks for all the advice!

I used it months ago and got all A's and B's, but that was when it was free. I've heard how everyone is getting F's now if they haven't paid up, which turned my opinion on it from useless to just unpleasant.

I've already learned more about optimizing my shop from more experienced members in teams than any app could teach me, and still learning every day.

Same thing for me and when I got that email & wanted me to upgrade after i checked my report card, I wrote them an email asking to unsubscribe from their mailing list and what I thought of their business practices. :(
