Shop re-arrangement

I spend tons of time re-arranging my shop so that similar listings are in the same row on my home page and so that the shop looks cohesive when someone visits. However, each time I renew a listing or sell a listing and it auto-renews, that listing goes to the top of my shop and messes up my careful organization. Help! Is there any way to stop it doing this?

Re: Shop re-arrangement

Sorry, I am not helping... I never learned how to re-arrange like yours... :(

Would you share how do you do that?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Shop re-arrangement

Fishcouple, under shop settings ~ options ~ enable the shop rearrange. Then a shop rearrange button will appear on the left side of your home page. Click on it and then you can drag listings to different areas or send to other pages.

Tania, I shift older items to the last page in our shop when I add something new or relist. It keeps the first page looking fresh without spending too much time rearranging the entire shop.

Re: Shop re-arrangement

I have the same issue and I just manually move the new items to the 2nd page. Its kind of frustrating on days I have lots of items expire, but like you I like my first page to look cohesive. I am also redoing all of my pictures so it looks kind of messy on the other pages with some new and some old pictures but at least the first page looks good!

Re: Shop re-arrangement

I rearrange my shop often putting seasonal items on the front page, and kind of like it that the relistings pop up on the front page because it kind of forces me to take a new look at the listing, make changes to pics, details, & price before refiling them in their proper section again.

Re: Shop re-arrangement

Unfortunatelly there is no way. You have to re arrange your shop every time you list new items or relist.
Re-arranging is such a pain!

Re: Shop re-arrangement

Thanks for the replies everyone! Guess I will continue to do it manually. You're right Jewel, it does force me to take a look at things!

Re: Shop re-arrangement

I just manually move mine back too, it can be super annoying - I guess it would be hard for Etsy to remember positioning but it would be so useful if they updated it so you could!

Re: Shop re-arrangement

When something renews, it goes to the same page and spot it was previously in. However, on a new listing, when I try to rearrange to a different page, I cannot do it. The listing has a number on the right top as to it's position and only goes down to the bottom of that page. Everything else is not highlighted to go to another page, so I don't know how to put it on another page. Help!
