Shop help

Pointers on keeping my sales constant instead of so up and down and how to increase my sales. Any pointers would be so appreciated. Ursula

Re: Shop help

I would add an "About" page, because there are sooooo many jewelry sellers, if you explain your design philosophy it helps you stand out.

Re: Shop help

Ursula,
I'm new to Etsy, and have been reading the Seller's Handbook and watching Online Labs videos to learn as fast as I can. From what I've learned, having a consistent aesthetic helps. For instance, picking a single, or a few very similar backgrounds against which to photograph all your items. Right now there are some against white backgrounds, and some with grass behind them. Also, I think your items would stand out against a neutral-shade background better than white. Because most of your items are very light, they don't contrast well with a white background- maybe you could try a light grey, beige, or tan of some sort.
Hope that's helpful!

Re: Shop help

Your jewelry is beautiful. I am learning that this is not an instant process for most of us. Lots of work and connecting. Working on SEO's and titles and shop announcement.

I, have recently tried a new brain storm for photographing my items. So new, I do not know how it will work. Seems like many of us all use the basic presentation and felt like adding a bit of fun. Time will tell if it works.

Agree with both of the previous suggestions. Hope some of this advise works for you.

Love your jewelry!! I agree with Janet V. regarding an About page. Your avatar is cute and makes me want to know more about your process. Do you have a studio in your home? Your photos look great. I think it's just a matter of doing a lot of connecting and research on SEO. Results are definitely slow in coming unless you're lucky enough to get on the front page right away or something. I still have a lot to learn myself. Keep up the good work!
