Shop Critique

Would anyone be able to give some suggestions on how I can better my shop? Or make it more public or something to increase sales? Thanks for any suggestions and help!

I noticed that you have a blog. Consider making a twitter And a Facebook account for more exposure.

Re: Shop Critique

What beautiful work you have! What talent! :)
I like that you have...
-good titles
-great tags
-multiple photos
-concise and descriptive blurbs about each item

Suggestions...
-I think photos showing the item being worn or in use is a great one to use as the primary photo. It gives people a since of scale and what it really is. For example, the 1st photo of the classic red and white silk necktie is nice, but I think the pic below it of the man wearing it is even better!
-I've heard people say that if you have a lot of views but not sales, then your prices might not be accurate. I can tell your items take A LOT of hardwork, but have you researched others who sell similar items?

These are just my opinions!

Again, you have beautiful items! Good luck!

Re: Shop Critique

Lovely ties! Just a suggestion - what about developing a coherent look for all your photos? e.g. all your tie pics look different, but if you developed a single look and feel for your tie photos it would help develop your brand identity and people would start to recognise your photos in an instant.

More products may also help. A big department store never stocks just 9 ties! I know this is difficult as it costs money, and you're not a department store!, but choice really does make a difference.

BTW I think your pricing is good.

Re: Shop Critique

Liz,

Very lovely shop. I think it is fabulous that you really took time to prepare for the holidays. (The gift cards, ect)

Do you have a Twitter, Facebook, or blog? I didn't see any links from your shop.

Again, lovely shop - Great banner, tags, descriptions...

Have you ever considered having a main image that represents what is available in your shop?

Lovely shop ! I did not find any flaws.. the delicate items like jewelry have good closeups & the clothing also has good photos & give the idea on how something will actually look !
Only thing is the banner, which I was not able to read the font, may be beacuse I am not familiar to it. Otherwise everything looks perfect !
